Brindle Dragon is so named for the natural brown & black coloring of the "pony" (hair-on-hide cowhide) body, and the heraldric dragon embossed on the black lambskin flap.   The flap is lined with black suede, similar thickness and softness of the body.  The underside of the "pony" is very soft and sueded texture, and a natural light grey in color.

I have used a brass celtic pattern button secured to the body, and leather lacing from the flap to loop around the button.  The 60" black leather thong slips through a channel created with the flap lining, and then length can be adjusted with a slip knot.
The styles on this page have been influenced by traditional sporrans, and the basic shape works well with a variety of leathers and finishing treatments.

The sporran with exposed raw edges is basically a 8" diameter circle for the front and back, with a slightly smaller flap to secure your contents. A gusset provides about 2" maximum depth to the bag.

I use only very fine and supple leathers that feel wonderful to the hand, yet are very durable and the construction ensures your bag will last for many years.  Pending the materials and character, I will use either magnetic snaps, buttons or toggles to secure the flap.
