Fairy Lockets

Sun & Moon mini-locket is 3/4" diameter, and about 1 3/8" from hinge to top of bale.

The images are from collection of antique symbols, and printed on 20# bond paper, and have been hand colored to accentuate the line work.

It is shown with a dark purple hand dyed and rolled silk cord.

Blue Fairy is about 1" x 1", and 1 3/8" from hinge to the top of the bale.

The fairy image is from a story book illustration by Warwick Goble, and the reverse side is an image of the corner of a blue butterfly wing. These are printed on vellum, which provides some irridescence and translucency, and it seems to glow in the sunlight.

It is shown with a light blue hand-dyed & rolled silk cord.

These are the same locket as shown on Glass Lockets page, but the artwork inside the lockets is more suited for lovers of Fairy Tales and the Fae.

Each locket is 1/2" thick bevelled glass, with sterling silver bezel (1/4" wide when locket is closed), hinge, screw, and bale. The bale is large enough to accommodate many types of chain or cord, and I provide the option to order the locket with or without an 18" leather or silk cord--but I am happy to provide a custom length per your request.

Dragon is about 1" x 1", and 1 3/8" from hinge to the top of the bale.

The dragon image is taken from an illustration by Warwick Goble for The Dragon from the Grotto, and the reverse side is a close up of the dragon's head. These are printed on vellum, which provides some irridescence and translucency, and it seems to glow in the sunlight.

An unusual subject for jewelry, but the beautiful illustration by Warwick Goble for the story The Espousal of the Rat's Daughter by Grace James caught my imagination. One side is a group of 3 (Mr. Rat's family), and the reverse is a detail of the head of Mr. Rat's Daughter. These are printed on vellum, which provides some irridescence and translucency, and it seems to glow in the sunlight.

The oval locket glass is 3/4" wide and 1 1/8" high, and is 1 3/4" from the hinge to the top of the bale. It is shown with a pink hand dyed and hand rolled silk ribbon.
